Degrassi Rocks the Band

As my roommate and I watched Degrassi High (the old skool one, of course) today for our Brunch-xtravaganza we noted how they really knew how to rock the Band. Maybe this is where the original inspiration came from. And it was subliminal all along. Who knew? All I can say, is if I can rock the 'band like Lucy while speaking out for woman's causes, I will be totally content with life and won't have to resort to actions taken by a certain puffy-shirt-wearing, dramatic-making, fake French pretentious name-having crazyface.

Sunglasses: The Transitional Headband

Well the wet is gone so I am beginning my transition out of headbands. Luckily it has been a sunny day so I have had help. But when that sun sets, I will be headbandless for the first time in 22 days. Here goes nothing!

Headbands in the "News"

Liz tipped me off to this groundbreaking news article about headbands. I have to admit that although I thoroughly enjoy the show in question (uh, did you see the last episode?? I mean, they went there in a way I thought only Degrassi was capable of!) I am a little upset to be part of a trend. However that blue sparkly band that Jenny rocked in a recent episode is a real thing of beauty.

Day 20 of solid headbandin'! I will probably break the cycle soon. I'm wondering though, will it count if I don't wear one all day, but just at night? If it would count, we can keep this thing up FOREVER!

Day 17 and Counting!

Can you believe it? Day 17 of straight banding it! Oh man! I am really doing a thing. Look out!

My only concern right now is worrying that all this headband heaven might cause me to lose a little strip of hair. Only time will tell!

An Instructional Blog Post

It is true that there is more than one way to wear a headband, however there are also plenty of ways not to wear one. Here is a photo of Liz displaying one of the ways not to flaunt the band:

It was left up to me to teach that band a thing or two about where it belongs on a person's body.

"Headband! You get off of that wrist this second and get back on that cranium!"

You know headbands. Sometimes they just need a strong hand to get them back on the head.

Meet the Bands: Mossy

Mossy

Mossy is the intellectual of the bunch. One can most often find this little lady with her head buried in a book or writing in her journal. This cultivated crackerjack loves spending her Sunday mornings with the New York Times, a cup of coffee, and the gentle din of NPR in the background. Our little thinker!
